Remember when you said “Bring it on 2020!”? Well, what do you say now? It’s ironic how this year seem to challenge us to the point where we all hid in our homes and stayed there worried until the coast is clear- and that means vaccine availability.
But as they say, there’s always a silver lining and that is the life lessons that this PAUSE has made us realize.
2020 Has Taught Us To Be More…
FAITHFUL
Whenever we are bothered and seem hopeless we turn to prayers. Talking to God about our fears, asking for guidance and seeking for His forgiveness. We all have our different ways of expressing our faith but it all comes down to drawing strength amidst these trials with Faith.
KNOW OUR PRIORITIES
And that means Family First because Home is where the heart is. We’d been given the gift of time to finally spend quality moments with our loved ones through bonding, eating together and simply being with each other.
COMPASSIONATE
We’re all on the same boat. Everyone is affected and vulnerable. And with everything that’s going on now, we find ourselves stepping up to extend a helping hand. To see what we can do and reach out. Once again we are faced with fears but as humans we stand together and survive.
RESILIENT
The world came to a halt. Jobs, transportation, traffic, services, income and to some, even food. A pause on society drained our savings and we need to survive for our family. So we do our best to live and put food on the table. We became resourceful on ways to earn and adapted to the new normal.
GRATEFUL
We learned to appreciate life more. The simple things such as being able to go home, to be together as family, to live comfortably and safe. The pandemic made us realize what mattered most and showed us the flaws of our frivolous indulgences. It’s a breather for the world that we abused and a chance for us to nurture life again.
HEALTH CONSCIOUS
Nothing can stop your success and fast-paced life but a World Health Emergency. And with that, the first thing you check is your health. Are you taking care of your body? Do you have a strong immune system to fight off the virus? You are worried yet determined to do the best you can and take charge in protecting yourself.
These trying times is a challenge but we need to still be hopeful. We cannot give up. We need to keep fighting and adapt. To do our best to survive this and live better moving forward.
As a mother, I pray incessantly for this to end because I want a safe world for my child. For him to be free and live life without masks. Together, let’s stay strong and do our part to help end the crisis with hope that this too shall pass.
