Wedding Venues in Rizal Province

Last updated on June 6th, 2019 at 02:16 am

Last 2012 on my 25th birthday, I went to St. Joseph Parish as I have always been fascinated with its history and architecture. Rustic, traditional and quaint are the words to describe this piece of heaven atop the municipality of Baras Rizal. Right there and then I decided that that will be the Church where I’ll be married.

See my post for St. Joseph Parish here.

or so I thought, because when time comes to find the wedding reception venue we couldn’t find any 🙁 and so the search for other wedding venue is on.

And here’s a rundown of venues we found. Complete with important photos and details such as the Wedding package, amenities, rates and more.

Venue Option 1: TEN CENTS TO HEAVEN (TANAY RIZAL)

This is beyond picturesque! The feels of Baguio and Tagaytay is very evident. The trees, mountains, wood works. The place speaks serene and beautiful. I am all praise in its ambiance but…

Pros:

  • Has the exact reception venue size for our guests, on top of the hill and there’s also a pool nearby where I can have my “ruin the wedding gown” craziness after the reception.
  • You have to see the Chapel! If you’re a nature lover, you’ll know what I mean.
  • They have a wedding package that has great inclusions.
  • Iwata fans only but I don’t think it’ll be necessary and has ample parking

Cons:

  • No Priest. You have to bring your own. (There’s a Catholic rule that priest can only do marriage ceremony inside a Church unless the either the bride or groom is really sick, and for any other reasons you have to seek for approval before you can get the priest in your venue.) This is a deal breaker, since we are not Christians and we prefer a priest to initiate the wedding. Chapel rental is Php 10,000 without flowers.
  • Far from the Church –  St. Joseph Parish, It will took around 30 minutes the least to travel from 2 locations.
  • It is far from the groom’s side, They are from Rodriguez Rizal. As we are from Taytay and Tanay Rizal.
  • Supplier’s fee will be costly, since the venue will be considered an out of town location.

As much as I imagine having the best intimate and rustic wedding to be held here I have to let it go because of the words: hassle and expensive 🙁

Venue Option 2: PUNTA DE FABIAN  (BARAS RIZAL)

Another great find. Almost! See pictures and you’ll know what I am raving about but…

Pros:

  • Has the exact reception venue size for our guests, on top of the hill and there’s also a pool nearby where I can have my “ruin the wedding gown” craziness after the reception.
  • They have a wedding package that has great inclusions.
  • Within the events place rental comes their honeymoon suite with breakfast.
  • Air-conditioned and has ample parking
  • Very near St. Joseph Parish, 10 minutes Maximum travel time
  • To compensate for the steep entrance, They have a shuttle that’ll take you up.

Cons:

  • The place is really on top of the hill, so the road is really steep. Vehicles need to be new or has a strong engine to reach the top.
  • It is far from the groom’s side, They are from Rodriguez Rizal. As we are from Taytay and Tanay Rizal.
  • Supplier’s fee will be costly, since the venue will be considered an out of town location.
  • In-house catering only. Their catering cost is expensive. The most cheap is Php 854 per head.
  • The event place itself is already Php 50,000 with a few inclusions but I still think its too high.

The following prices per head: Php 1,220 / Php 1,098 / Php 854

Maybe will visit for a staycation for the infinity pool overlooking Laguna the Bay, but for wedding reception? No.

Venue Option 3: PASEO RIZAL (MORONG RIZAL)

This was a restaurant before that’s open daily but has been closed and is now only accepting reservations for special events.

Pros:

  • Very near St. Joseph Parish, 15 minutes Maximum travel time.
  • Air-conditioned, has ample parking, with room for bride preparation.

Cons:

  • It is far from the groom’s side, They are from Rodriguez Rizal. As we are from Taytay and Tanay Rizal.
  • Supplier’s fee will be costly, since the venue will be considered an out of town location.
  • The ambience is dark and the place is small.

I wasn’t able to get their rates because at the time we visit there is no one from the admin staff.

**Update: My cousin rented the place for her child’s baptism and it costs Php 710 per head for a lunch menu. Food+venue rental.

There goes our wedding reception venue hunting in Rizal area. We tried searching as I really have my heart out for the St. Joseph Parish and Mr. AH wants to give me THE DAY but to be practical and considerate on his side, I have to find other location where we’ll meet halfway… Compromise.
